Networks are exclusive showcases for approved members within a specific university or school.

You can search all the networks Portfolium has to offer, including University Networks, School Networks (specific schools inside of universities, i.e. UCSD Jacobs School of Engineering), Accelerator, High School, Honors, Company, Mentor, and Research Networks. You can also search for each particular network, by clicking on the filter options and selecting from the drop down menu which networks you’d like to browse through.

We encourage you to join your school’s network and any other network that you should be a member of. Once you request to join a Network, a Network administrator will need to approve you.

3 reasons to find and join your School's Network

  1. Meet new people.Portfolium Networks are a great way to meet people at your school and fastest way to connect to your peers! Send connection requests to peoples who go to your university (you can find out who’s a member of the network under the “Members” tab) and get chatting! Check out the entries within your network and see what your peers are up to!
  2. Gain more recognition on your projects. Now that you’re part of the Network, check it regularly to keep up-to-date on what everyone else is working on. This way you can like and comment on their entries and they’ll return the favor. It’s that much more impressive to an employer when you not only have a portfolio with awesome work, but also a ton of support and recognition for it, too.
  3. Get a job. We don’t have to tell you twice how important networking is when getting a job, so besides just connecting with your peers to chat, you can start looking at their profiles and seeing where they work. Does someone in your network have your dream job? Perfect! Ask them how they got there or to make introductions. Sometimes professors and alumni lurk around on their network as well, giving you the perfect opportunity to connect with a potential mentor. Your networking possibilities are endless!
